Baptism
Baptisms are joyfully celebrated on the third Sunday of each month following the 11:00 AM Mass.
We warmly welcome all families who wish to have their child baptized. To prepare for this special sacrament, parents must be registered, active parishioners for at least three months prior to scheduling the baptism. Parents and Godparents are also required to attend a Baptismal Preparation Class, offered monthly, to help guide families in understanding and celebrating this sacred sacrament.
We’re excited to celebrate this special sacrament with your family! To schedule a Baptism, please download the form below and return it to the parish office. Have questions? We’d love to help—email us at:
Godparent Eligibility
Code of Canon Law #874: “To be permitted to take on the function of a sponsor a person must ...have the aptitude and intention of fulfilling this function; have completed the sixteenth year of age; be a Catholic who has been confirmed and has already received the most holy sacrament of the Eucharist and who leads a life of faith in keeping with the function to be taken on; not be bound by any canonical penalty legitimately imposed or declared.”
Godparents must be at least 16 years old and actively practicing the Catholic faith. Due to the unique responsibilities of this role, parents may not serve as Godparents for their own child. While it is recommended to have two Godparents, only one is required. If two are chosen, one must be male (Godfather) and the other female (Godmother). If only one Godparent meets the requirements of being a fully initiated, practicing Catholic, an additional person may be designated as a “Christian witness.”
Planning to be a Godparent? Complete the form below and bring the original to the parish office at least two weeks prior to the Baptism. We look forward to sharing this joyful occasion with you!
